TowneBank Congratulates 2023 NEXTgen Honorees!

The Towne Family celebrates three members who received 2023 NEXTgen awards from CoVa BIZ. Honorees are dynamic and successful young professionals making a difference in Coastal Virginia as changemakers in their communities and industries.
Ryan Eisenberg – Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, TowneBank
As CTO, Ryan is responsible for the direct oversight and strategic direction of TowneBank’s technology infrastructure, software development, technology support, and IT business analysis teams. A member of the Towne family since 2005, Ryan received his undergraduate degree at Radford University, has his MBA from ODU, and earned a Master of Science degree in IT Management from UVA. He is also a graduate of the TowneBank LEAD Associate program of which he currently serves as a mentor for future leaders at Towne. Ryan is a member of Beach Ambassadors and served as a member of the Virginia Bankers Association Emerging Bank Leaders.
Laura Lewin – Vice President and Branch Manager, Portsmouth Boulevard
Laura Lewin has been a TowneBank family member since 2007, holding positions in retail and private banking. She currently manages the TowneBank branch on Portsmouth Boulevard with deposits of $197 million and has been a consistent Chairman’s Club award winner, an internal program that recognizes top-performing bankers for meeting their annual development and growth goals. Laura is a graduate of ODU, the TowneBank LEAD Associate program, Vann H. Lefcoe Leadership Development program, and LEAD Hampton Roads. Committed to her community, Laura has been a member of the Portsmouth Service League since 2010 and serves on the STARBASE Victory board.
Nirali Trovato – Senior Vice President, Towne Wealth Management and Financial Advisor, RJFS
Nirali has been serving the financial needs of multigenerational families, high-net-worth individuals, and business owners since 2013. Her areas of focus include estate and tax planning, business transaction planning, wealth transfer, risk management, charitable planning, and retirement planning. Nirali is a graduate of George Mason University and holds the CFP and CEPA professional designations. She serves on the board for Horizon Hampton Roads and Special Olympics Virginia. In addition to being named a Next Gen, Nirali was also named a Top 40 Under 40 by Inside Business for 2023.
CoVa BIZ NextGen Awards 2023
The 2023 CoVa BIZ NextGen Awards recognize established business leaders under the age of 40 who live in and work in Coastal Virginia. In order to be considered, individuals must have a strong record of innovation in their field, outstanding performance in their businesses with a greater emphasis on meaningful community involvement and civic contributions. Winners were selected by a diverse committee consisting of VistaGraphics and two of last year’s winners from different professional backgrounds. Out of almost 70 individual nominations, 25 were selected as winners. This award was based on the period from 5/31/2022 to 5/21/2023 and was released on 9/06/2023. This ranking is not based in any way on the individual's abilities in regards to providing investment advice or management. Inside Business Top Forty Under 40 Award 2023
Each year Inside Business Journal recognizes 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 who have built successful careers and who are actively involved in the local Hampton Roads community. Nominees are evaluated on innovation, leadership roles and mentoring, as well as strategies for success with an emphasis placed on their community service including the impact of their volunteer work, their commitment, and the diversity of interests and involvement. A panel of local judges comprised of previous recipients of the award review and score each nominee with the highest scored individuals selected as finalists. In 2023, the 40 winners were selected out of 158 nominees. This ranking is based upon the period from 6/29/2022 – 6/29/2023 and was released on 7/31/2023.
