Towne is a Best Bank to Work For!  

TowneBank has been recognized by American Banker magazine as one of the “Best Banks to Work For” in the nation. When all the results were compiled, Towne was the #1 Bank in Virginia and seventh nationally for financial institutions with $10 billion or more in assets.  

This year, 90 banks earned a spot in the ranking. The magazine accepts nominations and then reviews key factors and employee feedback. First, the bank completes an evaluation of its workplace practices and benefits. Then, a sample of employees receives a survey for their input on workplace topics that include leadership, culture, communications, pay and benefits, work environment, and training and development opportunities. The combined scores determine the top banks.  

American Banker paid tribute to Towne’s many employee benefits and overall exemplary employee satisfaction. The magazine also noted that the leadership team at TowneBank works hard to make sure every employee feels included at the bank. The emphasis is on teamwork rather than hierarchy.
