Going to Towne with CORRAL Riding Academy

TowneBank is a longtime supporter of Day of Caring, a national event through the United Way that collaborates with volunteers, advocates, and donors across 1,100 communities. In the fall of 2023, TowneBank helped coordinate and recruit volunteers to serve 14 nonprofit agencies across our footprint in North Carolina and Virginia.
In Raleigh, a team of 11 volunteers helped with several projects at CORRAL Riding Academy, a nonprofit that provides equine therapy programs for at-risk girls. Our Towne family helped build a ride-in shed for the horses and painted, landscaped and assisted with barn chores.
Camp CORRAL works with partner agencies to identify adolescent girls in need of support due to homelessness, trauma or who are experiencing other high-risk situations. Through long-term, holistic equine therapy and education, CORRAL teaches lifelong skills while providing a community of support and access to opportunities that many participants would otherwise go without.
Meredith Mozingo, Paula Tannery, and Allison Ladd from our TowneBank Triangle family helped organize the project. “CORRAL does so much for adolescent girls across Raleigh and Cary, so it felt great to work alongside my Towne family for an amazing organization,” said Meredith.
