Celebrating Bob Aston's 60 Years in Banking
In 2024, TowneBank executive chairman Bob Aston reached an incredible milestone — 60 years as a banker, and one with a legacy that has impacted the landscape of financial services in Hampton Roads and far beyond.
On Wednesday, October 30, senior leadership, our joint board of directors, and his family surprised Bob with a special gift - over half a million dollars in personal contributions to add funds to the G. Robert Aston, Jr. Scholarship Fund created in 2014.
In its first 10 years, this fund has made 170 grants to help Towne families with the cost of higher education. Thank you, Bob, for paving the way as a servant leader, and for serving others and enriching lives in all you do.
