Meredith Elliott
LEAD Program Manager
A member of the Towne family since 2009, Meredith recruits, welcomes, and inspires future leaders through our LEAD Program for recent college graduates. “Meredith has come full circle, expanding and enhancing the curriculum of a program that saw her as a graduate in 2010,” says Sharon Byrd, EVP, director of learning and development.
Meredith is the ultimate motivator who leads from the heart in every venture she undertakes.
Meredith serves on the Virginia Bankers Association Emerging Leaders steering committee and as a mentor for both the VBA Fellows and Intern programs. She is the ally chairperson for the TowneBank PRIDE Networking Circle, serves on the Safety Committee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, and is active with the Tidewater Hokie Club and the United Way of South Hampton Roads.
Chase Townsend
Commercial Banking Officer
Chase joined TowneBank earlier this year, bringing over 15 years of financial industry experience. As a commercial banker, he works closely with non-profit organizations and local businesses, with a focus on government contracting, construction and general contracting, warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing. “I have followed Chase’s career for years and seen it flourish,” says Charity Volman-Winn, president of TowneBank Norfolk.
It’s been rewarding to see Chase embrace the Towne culture and contribute to the Norfolk team’s success.
Chase is an active member of several local associations, including the Virginia Ship Repair Association, the Virginia Maritime Association, and the Tidewater Association of Service Contractors. Additionally, he serves as the vice chair of PORTCO Inc. and is a volunteer coach for Orion Hunter Elite Girls fastpitch softball.
