Since 2019 the Greenville Eastern North Carolina (ENC) Alliance has been working hard to strengthen economic progress by bringing new capital investment and good jobs to Greenville-Pitt County. The public-private partnership continues to see great success in attracting new industry while at the same time retaining and expanding existing businesses.
Some recent projects include:
Nipro Medical Corporation
A leading global healthcare and medical manufacturer is bringing 232 new jobs and a $397.8 million investment to the area. The company has selected Greenville-Pitt County for its first North American manufacturing center of excellence. Nipro purchased a 130-acre Pitt County-owned site in Greenville.
The facility will produce state-of-the-art dialyzers and precision needles for insulin and GLP-1 therapies as the company is committed to enhancing the quality of patient care through innovative medical technologies. The new campus in Greenville will host a medical training center for health care providers and a customer service center, increasing the company’s global capacity to offer high-end medical devices in a 550,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility for the North American market. Construction began at the end of 2024 and the plant is expected to be operational in 2026.

“It has been an incredible two-year partnership that has brought this project to fruition,” says Josh Lewis, president and CEO of the Greenville ENC Alliance. “This announcement is a testament to the power of collaboration within our community and the Greenville ENC Alliance is proud to be the partner that brings everyone together. We are excited about the future of Nipro in our community, the lifesaving products that they will produce, and the many families that will benefit from their operation.”
Boviet Solar
This Vietnamese solar panel manufacturing and solar energy technology company is making a $294 million capital investment that will bring 908 new jobs to the Greenville-Pitt County region. Boviet specializes in manufacturing top-performing solar PV modules for solar projects. With the company’s Americas HQ and sales office in San Jose, CA, the new Greenville location will be its first manufacturing site in the United States and second globally. Boviet purchased the former DENSO plant in Greenville and is currently hiring as production will start this year.
“Our team has worked extremely hard with our partners at Pitt County and City of Greenville along with Boviet representatives and federal and state agencies to get this project to the finish line. Thanks to the work of many, a recently vacated building has been brought back to life and will soon be humming with production once again,” says Lewis. “The substantial capital investment and annual wages that this project will inject into the economy will ensure continued economic vibrancy in Greenville-Pitt County in the years ahead.”
UNX-Christeyns
A detergent and cleaning product manufacturer headquartered in Greenville is expanding, bringing 21 new jobs and a $10 million investment in Greenville-Pitt County.
“For more than 65 years, UNX-Christeyns has been a proud member of the Greenville community,” says UNX-Christeyns CEO Josh Lilley. “This project allows for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which enables our organization to grow and thrive within the industries we serve. In addition to the manufacturing and operational efficiencies we will certainly realize, this project will also help facilitate a further-improved, unified culture as we bring all Greenville employees under one roof.”
The company will relocate its existing facility to a property on Staton Road to allow for a consolidated home for all operations.
“Our team pursues every avenue to assist local industry with growth plans to ensure they can compete and win,” adds Lewis. “We understand that in a global economy, industry location decisions are vital, and we do not take that competition lightly. We are proud that UNX-Christeyns continues to find benefits and advantages to operating right here in Greenville-Pitt County.”

“For decades, Attindas has been a trusted corporate partner providing career opportunities to the citizens of Pitt County. In return, our skilled workforce and supportive business environment continues to attract additional opportunity as Attindas increases their presence and investment in our community,” says Lewis. “This expansion is yet another example of their commitment to increasing the production of quality medical care products right here in Greenville, North Carolina.”
Atlantic Emergency Solutions
A Pitt County ambulance and apparatus dealership and service provider is expanding their facility in Falkland with an additional 12,000 square feet and an investment of $1.45 million. The company provides metal fabrication, paint graphics, maintenance, and warranties on emergency vehicles.

We are proud that Atlantic Emergency Solutions is strengthening its presence in Falkland and bringing more high paying jobs to the community. These are the types of opportunities that help small towns grow and prosper,” says Lewis. “Congratulations to Atlantic Emergency Solutions and our partners in Falkland.”
Greenville ENC Alliance has also recently partnered with Marlboro Development Team, Greenville Utilities Commission, and the City of Greenville on a speculative industrial building in Indigreen Corporate Park. Located on a 17.3-acre parcel at 0 Sugg Parkway, the Class A building will be 100,440 square feet and expandable to 234,360 square feet.

We are extremely pleased with this partnership and look forward to breaking ground on the new building soon.”

TowneBank is supporting the Greenville ENC Alliance through a multi-year grant at the platinum investor level.
“The continued partnership with TowneBank is critical for us,” says Lewis. “We are grateful for the trust and confidence Bob Aston and the TowneBank leadership team have in us, our strategic plan, and overall mission. We are also very appreciative of Greg Steele, TowneBank Greenville president, who has provided leadership by serving as the ENC Alliance interim chair and continues to be an important member of our board and supporter of our work.”
