Two TowneBank leaders were recognized at VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads’ (VHR) Volunteer Achievement Awards at The NorVA in Norfolk, VA. Brian Skinner, TowneBank president of Virginia & Northeastern North Carolina, earned the Best of Board Volunteer of the Year award and Allie Wittkamp, director of marketing communications, was recognized as the Harvey L. Lindsay, Jr. Changemaker Honoree!
Brian is dedicated to giving his time and financial expertise to help nonprofits achieve their goals. His board commitments include An Achievable Dream, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula, the Christopher Newport University Education Foundation, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, The Mariners' Museum, and more.
Allie is passionate about sharing the mission and values of a community bank that strives to be a community asset. She exhibits servant leadership through her work with the VHR Corporate Volunteer Council, as THRIVE Peninsula treasurer and Master Financial Education Volunteer, as United Way of South Hampton Roads' TowneBank Workplace Giving Campaign chair, and with St. Andrew's Episcopal Church where she serves on the finance committee and teaches Children’s Chapel.
