SHARE
Congratulations to Charity Volman-Winn, TowneBank Norfolk president, who was among four people honored with the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame Award. Sponsored by Junior Achievement of Hampton Roads, the others honored were Gerald Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate; Williams B. Downey, executive vice chairman of Riverside Health System; and Thomas W. Godfrey, Jr., president and CEO of Colonna's Shipyard.
TowneBank was the presenting sponsor for the event that celebrated these individuals who have devoted their lives to making a difference in our region while inspiring others to set high goals and achieve them. Founded in 1985, the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame honors individuals who have demonstrated business excellence, courageous thinking and actions, visionary, innovative leadership, and community involvement. Through these accomplishments, Hall of Fame Laureates serve as role models for the next generation of business leaders, many of whom are currently Junior Achievement students.
Junior Achievement brings interactive programming into the classroom for kindergarten through 12th grade students, teaching young people about business, financial literacy, and workforce readiness.
Thanks to Charity for her outstanding mentorship and leadership qualities that encourage local young people to follow in her footsteps.
Serving Others. Enriching Lives.
