Congratulations to Top 40 Under 40 Honorees!
Congratulations are in order! TowneBank is proud to announce that two of our teammates were placed on the Inside Business Top 40 Under 40 list for 2022: Meagan Parker, vice president and private banker, and Mike Franks, senior vice president and commercial banker. The annual award recognizes young, successful people who excel in their work and place an emphasis on giving back to their community. Congratulations to both Meagan and Mike – your Towne Family is proud of you!
Meagan Parker, vice president and private banking officerMeagan has been a member of the Towne Family since 2016 and works closely with her members to provide guidance and exquisite service. Of her work, Buffy Barefoot, president of TowneBank Virginia Beach, shares: “I have had the opportunity to work directly with Meagan over the past four years. Throughout this time, she has never ceased to amaze me with her grit and determination. Every challenge builds her better. Meagan is steadfast in all that she does, and it is energizing to be with her on this journey.” In the community, Meagan serves as the philanthropy director of CBDX, a division of the Central Business District Association, and volunteers with the United Way, Teach Children to Save, and Kellam High School, among others.
Mike Franks, senior vice president and commercial banker
After graduating from Hampden-Sydney College, Mike joined the Towne family in 2007 as part of the Management Associate Program. Mike works with businesses to ensure their strategy for success. Alexis Swann, president of TowneBank Peninsula and Williamsburg states: “Mike is an intelligent young professional with a great work ethic. He is equally comfortable out on a job site or in the office, partnering with his members on complex financing packages.” In addition, Mike is an active volunteer with the Greater Williamsburg-Peninsula Partnership, Here for the Girls, and the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. He is also the co-founder of the annual Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival, which benefits local non-profits.
