Association of Fundraising Professionals Celebrates National Philanthropy Day

Members of the TowneBank family celebrated National Philanthropy Day hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Hampton Roads Chapter.

National Philanthropy Day celebrates giving, volunteering, and charitable engagement and highlights the accomplishments that philanthropy - and those involved in the philanthropic process -- make to our society and our world. The annual celebration has become the signature event for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Hampton Road chapter, saluting philanthropy across our region.

TowneBank was touched to be recognized as the Outstanding Philanthropist – Organization after being nominated by Eggleston Services. Other 2022 National Philanthropy Day honorees included:

• Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser - Shirley C. Baldwin
• Outstanding Fundraising Professional - Ashley Greene, Western Tidewater Free Clinic
• Outstanding Nonprofit Leader - Robert Cross, Virginia Arts Festival
• Outstanding Innovation in Fundraising - Vivian Oden, Hampton Roads Community Foundation
