A Natural Partnership to Build Affordable Housing With Taft-Mills Group

In January, Greenville real estate development group Taft-Mills Group broke ground on an affordable housing project thanks to financing from TowneBank. Arlington Trace, located on Dickinson Avenue, will contain 180 units for low- and moderate-income households. Property amenities will include a community room, computer center, laundry facility, playground, and covered picnic area. Each unit will feature central air, walk-in closets, and a breakfast bar, with balconies or patios available in some units. Eighteen units will be handicapped accessible.

Taft-Mills Group is a subsidiary of Taft Family Ventures and a strategic partnership between the Taft family and Dustin Mills, a recognized leader in affordable housing and historic preservation. Dustin has over twenty-five years of experience in multi-family housing and has developed more than 4,500 affordable units through the Housing and Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program(s). 

Taft-Mills Group’s primary focus is delivering safe, high-quality rental housing developments that blend seamlessly into the communities in which they are located and are affordable to both families and seniors of modest means. 

The Arlington Trace project is a collaboration between Taft-Mills Group, TowneBank Greenville, and TowneBank’s Public Finance & Community Investment Group. Construction is underway at Arlington Trace, located in Greenville. The affordable housing community will contain 180 units for low- and moderate-income households.
