TowneBank's Shareholders' Meeting is All About Sharing

The Community Free Clinic of Newport News received donations from the Shareholders' meeting. The Community Free Clinic provides free medical care to thousands of disadvantaged individuals.
Suffolk, Va. – For the third consecutive year, the centerpieces at the TowneBank Shareholders’ meeting, held on May 23 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, included items donated to local charities. Immediately following the event, TowneBank representatives visited charities in each of the regions it serves to deliver baskets overflowing with school supplies, personal care items, first aid kits and more.
The recipient organizations included:
- The Dwelling Place – Norfolk
- The Community Free Clinic – Newport News
- Outer Banks Hotline – TowneBank of Currituck
- People in Need (PIN) – Virginia Beach
- Lackey Free Clinic – Williamsburg
- Children’s Harbor – Portsmouth
- Hearts of Compassion Partnership – Chesapeake
In addition, a TowneBank Business Beetle, normally used for courier services, was filled with food that was donated to Food for Thought in Dare County, NC.
The Shareholders’ meeting also featured a video detailing TowneBank’s outreach to the community. Since the bank’s founding, TowneBank and the TowneBank Foundation have given more than $20 million to local charities and organizations seeking to improve the quality of life in the areas TowneBank serves.
